RE-HEATING GUIDELINES

– Do not thaw.
– With Idly Steamer: Take as many frozen Idlis as required. Dip them in bowl of room temperature drinking water for 3-4 minutes. Brush little oil on the steaming trays. Now steam the Idlis in a Steamer for 8 minutes. Serve hot.

– With Microwave: Dip them in the bowl of the room temperature, drinking water for 1 minute. Put the Idlis in a microwavable bowl keeping enough space between them. Spread one teaspoon water over each Idlis such that its gets moist, the water gets absorbed into the Idli. Cover the bowl with Microwavable Lid. and microwave it for 3-4 min at highest temperature. Allow Idlis to stay in Microwave for 30 Seconds after heating. Serve hot.
Note: Above heating time may vary depending on microwave Wattage and may need adjusting.

CRITICAL CHECK POINTS

– If the idlis are stuck together, Do not try to pull them apart as they tend to break. thaw for a short time and they will separate.
– Do Not keep the Idlis in the Steamer after steaming is complete. Take them out and keep them covered with a wet muslin cloth, otherwise a skin formation will be there and exposed side will start drying out.
– Stainless Steel Steamer and Aluminium Steamer may need slightly different time for steaming of Idlis.
– If Steaming is complete and still Idlis are kept in the Steamer, an additional problem of discoloration will happen due to reaction with Aluminium.
