RE-HEATING GUIDELINES

  • Thaw the Kheer under refrigeration.
  • Serve chilled in a kulad or in a bowl with garnish of dry fruit. Serve
  • Can be heated in a pan and served hot too.

CRITICAL CHECK POINTS

  • Do not thaw under room temperature as the milk and rice combination is highly susceptible to spoilage.
  • In an emergency, thaw the kheer in the microwave and bring to chilled temperature. Do not increase the temperature of the phirni as it has to be served chilled.
  • Once thawed, it can be heated if it has to be served hot, specially during the winter months.
