RE-HEATING GUIDELINES

  • Thaw the Upma under refrigeration.
  • Put it in a pan and sprinkle little water.
  • Cover and let the upma steam on medium hot heat for 7-8 minutes, till steam comes out of the pan.
  • Add some butter to add flavor.
  • Stir the upma so that it does not stick to the pan. ●Garnish with fried curry pattas / coriander leaves. and serve hot.

CRITICAL CHECK POINTS

  • Do not sprinkle water otherwise the upma will get sticky on steaming.
  • Do not hold the upma after pan steaming uncovered, as it will loose heat and dry out.
  • if need to be held before service, keep it covered in the pan or in the Bain Marie.
